artist bio

VICKI TEAGUE-COOPER has been making and showing her art for about 45 years. She majored in studio art, BFA program at University of Texas Austin. Soon after, she & a friend started an artist's cooperative gallery in downtown Austin that ran for 3 years. This is where she rented her first studio above the gallery and started exhibiting her work. 

Primarily a painter, her work includes oil paintings, encaustic paintings, drawings, watercolors, installation art, monoprints and most recently Still Life Installations.

She has lived and worked in Austin TX, New York City (East Village), and Santa Fe NM.

She has had 3 one-person exhibits in New York City, several one-person exhibits in Santa Fe, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Minneapolis. The work has been favorably reviewed in The New York Times, The New Art Examiner, The Dallas Morning News, Art in America and Art Forum.

Her work is in both private and public collections such as Museum of Fine Arts Houston, American Express NY, Swiss Bank Corp. NY, Morgan Bank & Trust NY, Swiss Volksbank NY and Hyatt Regency Hong Kong.
